The students visited WNEP Channel 16 for a tour of the studio with Chief Meteorologist Kurt Aaron. Students were shown all phases of program production. They were especially interested in the video editing, the teleprompters and the traffic department. Students enjoyed seeing the outdoor center. It was amazing to see how many scenes were created in a rather small space. Students studied weather maps and computer generated weather data with Meteorologist Kurt Aaron and were excited about being on TV with him during the noon weather report. The control center was very fascinating. Students were impressed with the large number of people and the diversity of skills needed to produce a program. A highlight of the day was going into the studio, seeing the cameras and teleprompter, and sitting in the news anchors' chairs.
