Wyoming Valley Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School

About our School

Welcome to WVSDA. We have provided our local community with quality Christian education from kindergarten to 8th grade since 1989. WVSDA offers your child superior educational opportunity that builds on a careful foundation in key learning areas. The Seventh-Day Adventist Church operates 5,846 schools worldwide with a total enrollment of over one million students. At the heart of Adventist education is a belief that children achieve true growth when their mental, physical and spiritual needs are met. WVSDA upholds these beliefs and, with enviable teacher to student ratios, we provide a nurturing and caring learning environment with Christian values.

Our School

Mission Statement
Excellence in Education, Preparation for Service.
The Wyoming Valley Seventh-Day Adventist School family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to lead.

Our Philosophy
A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-Day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
  • develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39
  • master academic skills
  • value labor, physical and mental
  • cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

The Wyoming Valley Seventh-Day Adventist School operated in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education, North American Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
